Kalidahs

Kaldiahs were rare during the Golden Age of Ozma. They roamed the plains and forests of Oz before Ozma's rule terrorizing the locals. The are ferocious creatures with the bodies of enormous bears and the heads of tigers. They represent part of the primal bestial roar that exists in the wilds of Oz. The population of Kalidahs decreased during Ozma's rule as peace spread throughout the land. In her absence and while Oz is under Ironheart's influence, their numbers grow, much to Ironheart's dismay. While the Kalidahs do terrorize the inhabitants of Oz they also attack cogs outright. Their speed and strength make them formidable foes for cog patrols. Ironheart hopes that by destroying the Kalidahs environment he can also eliminate them as well. Kalidahs usually travel in packs of at least three. A Kalidah attack is usually preceded by a deafening roar that terrifies it's prey then they leap from the forest upon their victim tearing a shredding. In the plains Kalidahs spy their prey from far off and then make a dead run at their targets. Outrunning a Kalidah is very very hard.
