I came in rather late to RPGs but had been a sci-fi/fantasy and comic book fan since I was about 5 years old. Originally, I made the jump to table top gaming because of one of my female friends. Maybe my experience is atypical, but my gaming groups since then usually have quite a few female members.

Of all the strange twists of fate I may have had, I met my now-husband because I gamed. When my first group fizzled out about 6 years ago, I posted to a gaming newsgroup to find some new people. Someone saw my post and gave me a person to contact. The rest is history.

We've found that married life tends to eat away at precious gaming time, but when we get the chance we usually play White Wolf games, CoC, or DnD 3rd.
